Program Overview

If you like cars and want to be a part of the ever-changing automotive world, why not pursue a career that you will enjoy? The skills and knowledge you will gain while earning your automotive degree are in high demand. Employers are begging for qualified people who can solve problems, understand how things work, deal with people, and maintain a high level of integrity.

Ƶ Technical College’s automotive program is ASE Education Foundation accredited. The program is designed to prepare you for careers in independent businesses and dealerships such as: Automobile Technician, Parts Specialist, or Service Advisor.

Today’s automobiles are becoming more complex, which means that trained and up-to-date people are hard to find. If you are a hard worker and are willing to learn, employers will be fighting over you! Everyone who graduates from this program and wants a job gets one. The median annual wage for automotive service technicians and mechanics was $46,880 in May 2021.

Graduates that work in the automotive repair industry are routinely sent by their employers for annual training to keep pace with the growing automotive technologies while adding additional credentials to their résumé. OEM specific training, offered directly from the auto manufacturers, is common and required in many shops. The employees are paid to attend these training opportunities at the manufacturer training centers. Additionally, graduates of the Automotive Technology Associate Degree can utilize the transferable credits from the credential to applicable four-year colleges.

Specific Facility, Tools Or Educational Tools Available

The program utilizes modern, state-of-the-art equipment and tools selected with advice directly from industry and shop owners. There are separate dedicated areas for classroom and labs specializing in basic automotive repair techniques (electrical, brakes, alignments, etc.)
